Kia ora I’m Jody, from Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa - Wellington, New Zealand.

Whist I work full time in IT, I started Jewellery Design in 2019 in my spare time and I enjoy creating unique and bold pieces. Each piece is hand crafted by me, always designs that I’d wear and cherish myself. One of a kind pieces, no two are ever the same.

More recently I've joined my local Rock and Mineral Club and have learnt lapidary, which is cutting/carving, shaping and polishing stones into cabochons. I then use these cabochons to set into sterling silver. Some recent projects have been Aotearoa New Zealand Stones including Pounamu (Greenstone Nephrite Jade), Obay Stone (similar to Aotea Stone - a mix of kyanite, fuchsite and quartz), Aotearoa NZ Matā Obsidian which is a natural glass, formed by the rapid cooling of silica-rich volcanic lava and Kāpia (Kauri Gum) is the fossilised resin or sap of the Kauri Tree (Agathis australis), also referred to as NZ Amber.

I’ve also recently been working on some projects using the lost wax method, where you carve a ring out of wax, then I send it off to Auckland to be cast into sterling silver and when its returned I tidy it up and set gemstones. I also have a large collection of gemstones from all around the world with some of my favs being opals and turquoise.

Custom orders are welcome, we can work together to create something unique and bold just for you. Free shipping NZ wide and flat rate of NZD$20 for anywhere else in the world.
